Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to perform routine accounts payable functions in a high-volume environment. This role involves verifying and processing supplier invoices, preparing payments, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls. The ideal candidate will be organized, accurate, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Mandatory Skills:

• Invoice processing and verification.
• 1–2 years of full-time Accounts Payable experience
• Experience in a large ERP environment (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, etc.)
• Matching invoices with POs and receipts
• Payment preparation (checks, ACH, wires)
• AP account reconciliation
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify incoming invoices and match them to purchase orders and receipts.
• Post invoice entries into the accounting system (Oracle preferred).
• Prepare check, ACH, or wire payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and internal controls (including SOX).
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP records and support record retention efforts.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and provide high-quality customer service.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist or appropriate parties.
• Assist with month-end close activities and other ad hoc projects as assigned.
