Position Overview

River Brook is seeking a talented, creative, and detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join our Birmingham team. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to work closely with our in-house architecture, design, and construction teams on a range of high-end residential projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, thrives in a collaborative environment, and brings technical precision and creativity to every project.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop conceptual and detailed architectural designs for residential projects
  • Prepare and coordinate construction drawings, documentation, and specifications
  • Collaborate closely with clients, designers, and the construction team to ensure seamless project execution
  • Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and design deliverables
  • Review and interpret building codes and zoning regulations
  • Participate in on-site reviews, client presentations, and design meetings
  • Maintain consistent communication with internal teams and consultants to ensure project alignment
  • Uphold River Brook’s design and quality standards across all phases of the project
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field required
  • Minimum 2 years of architectural design experience (custom residential preferred)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and architectural drawing software
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation and detailing
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Experience in high-end residential design or renovation strongly preferred
