Job Description
We are seeking an Armed Safety Officer - Active / Retired Law Enforcement to become an integral part of a local house of worship and a preschool. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. This role is dedicated to ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for our community, staff, and families. This is a long-term position.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol and secure premises during school, services, and community events.
- Control access points, monitor entrances/exits, and verify visitors.
- Respond swiftly to suspicious activity, disturbances, or safety hazards.
- Work closely with community leadership and law enforcement partners.
- Maintain clear, professional communication and detailed incident reporting.
Pay:
Qualifications:
- Active or retired law enforcement (must maintain LE qualification).
- Current NC Armed Security Guard certification required.
- Experience in law enforcement, security, or investigations.
- Licensed Private Investigators - Advantage.
- Familiarity with security equipment and technology.
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
- Professional, reliable, and punctual.
