Assistant Construction Superintendent - Austin, TX

The Assistant Field Superintendent will assist with all aspects of the construction project, including the finishing and turning over of units to management.

Job duties:

• Reports to Lead Super/PM
• Ensures subcontractors are onsite when scheduled
• Updates superiors if subcontractors are not onsite
• Ensures finish materials/subs are onsite
• Uses finish schedule to ensure materials are placed in correct units
• Walks with subcontractors daily to ensure completeness
• Creates punch lists for subcontractors on finishing units via Procore
• Ensure punch lists are completed
• Performs final walks with mgmt.
• Ensures mgmt. walk lists are completed
• Turns over keys to mgmt.
• Assists maintenance staff with new move ins
• 100% in the field

Requirements:

• Must be local to Austin, Texas
• Bachelor's Degree in civil or construction management, preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising all phases of multifamily, housing or hotel construction experience.
• Understands and can interpret codes and UL assemblies.
• Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project
• Must be able to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Great communication skills including verbal and written.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Works well with a team.
