Bookkeeper

Barberton, OH

Terpco Inc. is currently seeking a part-time to full-time Bookkeeper to join their team in Barberton, Ohio! The new Bookkeeper will work part-time with our current Staff Accountant, starting right away, for the next few months for training, and then take over in late February full-time.

Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday
• 24 hours/week during training
• 32 hours/week after training

The right candidate will have:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
• Previous experience with sales tax reports and filings
• This role requires an above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office / Excel

Our Bookkeeper will:

• Work with Tribute and the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel.
• Review bank balances and Positive Pay and ACH Debit reports daily.
• Perform general account analysis and reconciliations, including but not limited to, bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable at month end.
• Prepare financial statements by entering nonsystem transactions as general ledger journal entries.
• Review and categorize, in excel all company credit card transactions and reconcile credit card accounts.
• Process vendor invoices and payments (Accounts Payable).
• Assist our accountants with financial data for filing annual corporate taxes.
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and/or annual sales tax reports for approximately 33 states, including Ohio.
