Job Description

Adelphoi is hiring Community Counselors to work directly with delinquent youth in Community-Based settings across Allegheny County. This full-time role is ideal for individuals with a background in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth. Positions are available in Wilkinsburg, North Versailles, and the North Side.

Adelphoi provides regulatory and agency-preferred training to prepare you for success in a structured, trauma-informed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate psycho-educational groups and provide direct support to youth with ankle monitors.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to promote emotional regulation, social skills, and personal growth.
• Support youth in developing daily living skills and routines.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support.
• Maintain professionalism during family meetings, court hearings, and external engagements.
• Uphold Trauma-Informed Care principles in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
• Experience working in detention, residential, or behavioral health settings is a plus.
