Construction Project Manager – K-12 Projects

Our client, a reputable Design-Build firm, is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead three new ground-up K-12 school projects in San Antonio. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking builder with a strong pipeline of education projects across Texas.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the construction project lifecycle, from preconstruction through to final handover
- Lead project planning efforts including budgeting, scheduling, and logistics
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and school district representatives
- Oversee and direct field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective execution
- Maintain strict adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Track and manage project costs, change orders, RFIs, and submittals
- Monitor quality control and ensure the highest level of workmanship on site
- Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings with stakeholders
- Prepare and deliver status reports and updates to internal leadership and clients
- Foster a positive, solutions-driven team environment that promotes collaboration and accountability
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing ground-up K-12 school construction projects from start to finish
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contract management, and scheduling
- Demonstrated leadership and the ability to effectively manage teams and stakeholders
- Good tenures with previous employers (no job-hopping)
- Proficient in construction management software
- Willingness to travel regularly to project sites in San Antonio
