What You’ll Do

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll take ownership of designing and supporting electrical power systems—from initial concept to production and testing. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all designs are safe, compliant, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical layouts for power systems (standard to complex)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables
• Create and maintain design documentation including BOMs, schematics, test plans, and operation manuals
• Partner with CAD designers and engineers to bring concepts to life
• Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts during manufacturing
• Conduct prototype testing and analyze performance data
• Ensure designs meet UL, NFPA, and other relevant standards
• Maintain effective change control and manage project timelines
• Promote a strong culture of electrical safety and compliance
• Provide support throughout the manufacturing process to ensure design integrity

What You Bring to the Table

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• 8–14 years of experience in electrical design—ideally in critical power distribution or switchgear
• Familiarity with standards such as UL 891, UL 1558, UL 67, UL 857, UL 1008, UL 62368/60950 is a strong plus
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office
• Ability to interpret and create electrical schematics and blueprints
• Proven problem-solving abilities in design and production environments
