Job Description

Our client, a prestigious private school located in Hightstown, NJ, is seeking an experienced Full-Time, Licensed Electrician to join their Building Services team. The Electrician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems, lighting, and power supplies across campus to ensure safe and efficient operation.

This is a full-time, direct hire position.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair interior and exterior lighting systems.
• Install outlets, wiring, and electrical services as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in campus buildings and equipment.
• Collaborate with HVAC and maintenance teams during repairs or equipment changes.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and submit reports as required.
• Maintain an organized inventory of materials and tools; order supplies as needed.
• Assist with event setups and snow removal when required.
• Follow all safety standards and ensure compliance with electrical codes.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Electrical License required.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 70 lbs, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
