Experienced Companion/Caregiver for an Elderly Principal Requiring Cognitive Support Location: Palm Beach, FL Option to travel to Colorado in the summer months We are seeking a kind, sensible, and professional Companion/Caregiver to provide respectful, dedicated, and considerate support to a principal in her private residences. The role is ideal for someone with deep empathy, specialized experience, and a calm, confident demeanor. This is a long-term opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of someone who values privacy, peace, and excellent care. The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience working with aging principals living with Dementia or related cognitive diseases. This is a straight-forward caregiving role with no managerial responsibilities. The Companion/Caregiver will join a well-established household team, allowing them to focus on the principals care. Core Responsibilities The primary focus is providing high-quality, patient-centered care and companionship. Provide companionship and gentle support throughout the day. Employ specialized, patient-focused techniques to support a principal with Dementia or related diseases. Assist with personal care, including light dressing support and shower monitoring, ensuring safety and dignity. Meticulously manage medication/supplement schedules and communicate updates to the live-in Estate Manager. Accompany principal to social events, medical appointments, and errands Use sound judgment to minimize risk. At times, prepare simple, light meals, serve, and cleanup. Assist with packing, unpacking, and travel preparation when required. If needed, handle light personal laundry and assist with the general upkeep of the principals immediate living area. Qualifications Warm, mature, patient, with a profoundly nurturing nature. Significant, verifiable experience as a caregiver for principals with Dementia/Alzheimers. A private home care professional who understands discretion and boundaries. Preference for an experienced CNA or Nurse with current certification. Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure or in moments of confusion. A team player who communicates well and is respectful of the broader household staff. Fluent in English with excellent verbal communication skills for clear interaction with the principal. Flexible and dependable, with a genuine desire to help. CPR and First Aid certified. Able to lift up to 30 lbs. Schedule The principals team is seeking additional daytime coverage M, T, W, Th. We are open to discussion on how to structure this to offer 35-48 hours of coverage per week. This could be 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts 3 to 4 days per week. We will discuss your availability during the initial interview. Compensation Benefits Hourly compensation of $45-$70 depending on your skills, certifications, and experience. Health insurance stipend, 15 days PTO, 8 paid holidays, uniform stipend. Annual discretionary bonus Live-out in Palm Beach, FL. If you travel to the summer residence, your travel and accommodation are provided, and you will have use of a house vehicle. #indmps
