Farm Equipment Operator position available in northeast Illinois. This Harness Racing Training Facility on a 100 acre Illinois farm provides horse training and boarding facilities for horse owners and an Equine Assisted Therapy center for veterans and military personnel suffering from PTSD as well as other disabilities.
The facility's race track is maintained year-round with a farm tractor and implements similar to those used to prepare seedbeds for planting. Duties include Track maintenance, including grading, cutting, sealing, watering & freeze drying (may include evening & overnight hours during inclement weather). While the main part of this job is track maintenance, other duties include general repairs and maintenance of equipment, farm vehicles, barns, and fences, mowing, manure spreading, equine pool maintenance, weekly stall counts, additional duties as requested.
