The work will be challenging, but always rewarding. **It's Work That Matters.** **Overview** **Schedule:** Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. _Occasional earlier start times may be required._ **Purpose Statement/Position Summary:** Children's Hospital of Los Angeles is seeking a Health Science & Behavioral Research Assistant II for the Goran Lab. The Goran Lab conducts clinical and translational research focused on nutrition, obesity, diabetes, and related metabolic disorders in children and families. Our multidisciplinary team works on community- and hospital-based studies to better understand the role of diet, early life exposures, and lifestyle behaviors in long-term health outcomes. Under the supervision of the Lead Research Assistant/Research Associate, this position assists in recruiting project participants and administering structured questionnaire survey materials. Responsibilities may include data collection, data entry, and study documentation. The role requires balancing demanding study needs with strict compliance practices and institutional/regulatory standards. This includes administering complex protocols, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring adherence to all ethical and regulatory requirements while meeting project timelines. **Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:** + 1-year of research administration experience preferred. + Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative interviewing and recruiting project participants preferred. + Experience using CASI interviewing tools preferred. + Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access preferred. **Education/Licensure/Certification:** High school diploma or equivalent. College education preferred. **Pay Scale Information** $43,680.00-$56,212.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
