Job Description

As a Footwear Material Developer, you will provide support to the Material Team in organizing, tracking, and maintaining materials, reports, and vendor communications to ensure efficient workflow and alignment across global teams. You will also support the Material Library, and Product Teams to meet product design and development goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSBILITIES

  • Coordinate material requests for W & M Sports, CCW, CCM, and Sport Active categories.
  • Communicate with the China Materials Team to ensure timely follow-up and smooth progression of material developments and WIP tracking.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with material vendors and suppliers to support ongoing projects.
  • Create and organize material and shopping reports to support the team.
  • Assist Material Managers with compiling, formatting, and presenting Seasonal Material Direction Reports , Category Material Requests and Trend Reports .
  • Assist with creating and maintaining Material Trend Cork Boards and Seasonal Color Trend Reports for visual team reference.
  • Support planning and execution of Vendor Fair , including name badge preparation, employee/vendor coordination, and event setup.
  • Assist in organizing supplier in person meetings and setting up the spaces.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSBILITIES

  • Develop a knowledge of all footwear material types
  • Develop a knowledge of Material Sourcing and Core suppliers
  • Other duties assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with vendor negotiation, materials or related development projects is preferred
  • Lab testing and global material experience is a plus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, PowerPoint, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • 1-3 years working in related position in footwear industry
  • Knowledge of product or material vendors a plus
