Medical Records Specialist
Location: REMOTE
Pay Rate: $20-23/hr. (flexible depending on certification)
Duration: Contract through March 2026

Must Haves
RHIT or RHIA certificate highly preferred (can be expired)
Experience reviewing medical records (specifically in a medical records department, not just filing/scanning)
Familiarity with EHR systems
Strong attention to detail for documentation tracking
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Comfortable with production driven role RHIT or RHIA certificate highly preferred
Ability to clear background check & drug test

A client based in Nashville, TN is looking to hire REMOTE Medical Records Specialists to assist with pulling record sets for CMS across three phases of the audit. As records are pulled, specialists will identify and log any missing documentation in both a CMS spreadsheet and the internal system. While they won’t be responsible for uploading records to the Medicare portal, they will work closely with the teammate who does. The speed and efficiency of record retrieval will determine the duration of the assignment. Though local candidates are preferred, the role can be fully remote, and strong performers may be extended beyond the initial timeline.
