Our 15-acre nursery is located in a vibrant beach community, offering a unique work environment that combines the benefits of a close-knit team with the beauty of nature. We are currently seeking a Nursery Manager to join our team full-time, year-round. This role is ideal for a highly motivated self-starter who values teamwork and has a strong work ethic. The Nursery Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and success of our nursery operations.
Responsibilities - Oversee day-to-day nursery operations including transplanting, irrigation management, and fertilization programs.
- Implement effective weed and pest control strategies.
- Ensure quality control and safety standards are met.
- Coordinate field personnel duties and manage inventory.
- Assess overall plant wellness and make purchasing decisions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in nursery management, horticulture, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale nursery operations and lead diverse teams.
- Ability to plan, organize, manage, and supervise activities for successful outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 or equivalent programs, previous use of Aspire is a plus.
