Position OverviewWe are seeking an Ocean/Air Freight Operations Assistant to join our operations team on-site at our Spring Arbor, MI office. This role is not remote — it requires daily, in-person collaboration with our team. It’s a great fit for someone with experience in logistics, operations, or customer service, who has shown reliability and commitment in past roles, and who is ready to grow with a company that values stability.
You’ll support day-to-day operations while learning the fundamentals of international freight forwarding, compliance, and documentation — all while building your career in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities· Assist with the preparation and processing of import/export documentation for ocean and air freight.
· Support shipment coordination and cargo tracking to ensure timely delivery.
· Learn and apply U.S. Customs and international trade compliance requirements.
· Enter and maintain accurate data in logistics systems and company software.
· Communicate with internal teams, carriers, and partners to support smooth operations.
· Provide administrative support, including updating files and records.
· Shadow and collaborate with experienced coordinators to gain hands-on knowledge of freight forwarding processes.
