Property Manager - Multifamily

Privately held multifamily real estate owner and operator is seeking a Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily properties located throughout Brooklyn and New Jersey. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of day-to-day property operations, tenant relations, and building systems, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of a portfolio of multifamily residential buildings
• Supervise maintenance staff and vendors to ensure timely and quality repairs
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance and safety issues
• Manage rent collections, lease renewals, and enforce building rules
• Coordinate apartment turnovers, unit inspections, and move-in/move-out procedures
• Handle tenant complaints, service requests, and emergencies in a timely, professional manner
• Work closely with ownership on budgeting, capital planning, and rent roll oversight
• Ensure compliance with local laws and building code requirements (e.g. HPD, DOB, FDNY)
• Maintain organized property records including leases, work orders, and inspection logs

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience managing multifamily properties, preferably in NYC
• Strong knowledge of NYC housing regulations, rent stabilization, and compliance
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Tech-savvy; experience with Yardi is a plus
• Ability to travel daily within Brooklyn and work on-site across properties
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
