**Details** + **Department** : Telemetry Unit + **Schedule** : Full Time, Days. 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. + **Hospital:** Ascension Alexian Brothers + **Location:** Elk Grove Village, Illinois + **Salary:** $20.00 per hour This is a year-round program, requiring a commitment of 36 hours per week. (Three 12-hour shifts.) Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing school. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer._ **Responsibilities** Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. + Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and taking vital signs. + Observe patient status and responses. Document and report observations to preceptor or other appropriate staff. + Assist preceptor with development of care plan by reporting test results and patient observations. + Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services. **Requirements** Licensure / Certification / Registration: + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: + High school diploma/GED required.
