Senior Python Engineer

Location: New York, NY/Plano, TX/Hybrid

Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a compliance-focused data migration project , ensuring accuracy, traceability, and adherence to regulatory standards
• Migrate data from co-located/on-premise servers to cloud-based environments
• Develop, test, and debug Python scripts to support data extraction, transformation, validation, and migration
• Design and implement AWS-based solutions , utilizing services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and QuickSight
• Integrate and work with Google APIs as part of data ingestion or system integration workflows
• Identify data inconsistencies, migration issues, or system risks and communicate findings clearly to project stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and seek clarification or assistance when requirements or issues are unclear
• Contribute to system and solution design discussions, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance
• Document migration processes, issues, resolutions, and validation results

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS services , specifically Lambda, DynamoDB, and QuickSight
• Strong Python programming skills , including script development, testing, and debugging
• Experience working with Google APIs
• Solid understanding of data migration concepts and cloud-based architectures
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in compliance-driven projects
• Ability to proactively identify, communicate, and escalate issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SFS or Windows-based development environments
• Exposure to system design and cloud architecture best practices
• Prior experience working on regulated or compliance-sensitive projects

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear, professional communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when needed
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
