Senior Sales Data Analyst

Our Hamburg, NY headquarters is looking for a Senior Sales Data Analyst. This is a full-time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer. This includes working with multiple company affiliates that are in various states.

Duties and responsibilities :

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable data analysis plans.
• Utilize SAP tools to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into SAP Datasphere or SAP Analytics Cloud for analysis.
• Develop and maintain complex data models within SAP HANA and Datasphere to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Design and build insightful dashboards and reports using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to visualize data trends and uncover hidden patterns.
• Perform advanced data analysis techniques to identify key metrics, KPIs, and actionable insights to support informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure data governance, security, and compliance with best practices.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in SAP analytics tools and methodologies.
• Document data analysis processes and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• May provide training and mentorship to junior team members.

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, with a strong focus on SAP solutions (SAP HANA, SAC, Datasphere).
• Proven experience with data modeling techniques, ETL processes, and data quality management.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with scripting languages (Python, R) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical thinking and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
• Preferred candidate is a Western New York resident

• Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary: $85,000 - $115,000
