Job Description

JOB DEFINITION : This position is in support of Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA).

Work environment is based on Microsoft 365 SharePoint. Ability to use MS Teams, SQL Server

Database and SQL Server Reporting Services, to provide CAAA Leadership, Staff, and

Personnel a set of tools to assist in daily operations and to visually display various items of

information that reflect how well CAAA is executing its annual plan. Must also support several

mission critical SharePoint solutions with complex permissions structures, workflows,

customized pages using JavaScript, JQuery and data integration between SharePoint and SQL

Server, as well as maintaining CAAA's public-facing external website.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Accurately records daily tasks and assignments in order to

provide metrics on task orders. Works independently under overall project objectives and

requirements; apprises Project Manager about progress and unusual complications. Work is

reviewed for accuracy of judgment, compliance with instructions, and to insure proper alignment.

Guidelines usually include existing systems and the constraints imposed by related systems with

which the incumbent's work must be meshed. Adapts design approaches successfully used in

precedent systems. Completed work is reviewed for timeliness, compatibility with other work, and

effectiveness in meeting requirements. May provide functional direction to lower level assistants

on assigned work.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

  • Work in the existing environment, maintaining the accuracy and relevance of the existing
  • tools and workflows.
  • Creating new building block components (web parts, reports, visual performance
  • indicators, custom coded pages, workflows, etc) identified by leadership, which will have
  • the flexibility to gather information from various data sources that collaboratively create a
  • Dashboard and further develop the various command databases.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience in HTML/DHTML/CSS and ASP.NET
  • MVC 5.
  • Provide thought leadership and technical support for the CAAA Mission.
  • Provide backup support to the SQL DB Admin.
  • Provide technical support for implementation of AMC Data Strategy.
  • Individual shall exhibit knowledge of best practices relating to data gathering, storage,
  • reporting, analysis and user interfaces.
  • Knowledge of applicable computer system software programs and MS Office
  • Applications.
  • Ability to deploy patches and upgrades.
  • Skill in working independently, multitasking, prioritizing projects, and meeting deadlines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information

Technology or equivalent AND four (4) years of progressively complex developer/administrator

level experience with Microsoft's SharePoint Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Reporting Services;

OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Should possess certifications in

related areas and have clear goals of additional certifications needed to support emerging

technologies. Recommended four (4) years' experience in developing software solutions using

Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, XML, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery and SQL.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Required to work outside the traditional work schedule.

Provide afterhours support for emergency situations. This includes after hour support. Security+

required prior to the first day of hire. An Interim Secret Clearance is required prior to confirmed

full time employment. The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required. MCITP

specific to SharePoint or SQL Server are also preferred. Must possess industry training andor

certifications, as mandated by DoD 8570.01m within 6 month of hire.

Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 0600-1630 EST. Onsite will be required in the

beginning and the then hybrid support can be reviewed for approval with 50/50 split for

onsite/remote.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The following demands are representative of

those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position requires lots of walking, occasional equipment moveslifting and configurations.
