Job Description

We’re on the hunt for a passionate and creative Marketing Manager to lead bold, on-the-ground brand activations in key sports markets across the U.S.

This role is designed for a strategic professional with a deep affinity for sports culture, a proven ability to create impactful real-world engagement, and the expertise to transform visionary concepts into memorable experiences that resonate with fans.

This is a field-based position requiring an individual who excels in executing on-site activations, fostering community engagement, and collaborating with external partners to elevate brand visibility in a competitive landscape.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement grassroots marketing strategies to enhance brand engagement, relevance, and excitement within targeted sports communities.
  • Oversee on-the-ground operations, managing initiatives such as mobile brand activations, street team deployments, pop-up events, game-day promotions, and community-focused programs.
  • Identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with agency partners, brand ambassadors, and regional vendors to ensure seamless execution of campaigns across key markets.
  • Handle all aspects of event logistics, including securing permits, conducting site evaluations, recruiting and training street teams, and managing day-of operations.
  • Work in close partnership with internal teams—spanning brand, partnerships, and content—to maintain alignment in messaging and storytelling across all campaign touchpoints.
  • Build and maintain strategic alliances with sports organizations, leagues, and local community groups to amplify campaign reach and foster greater participation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A strong passion for sports and a comprehensive understanding of sports culture and fan dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience in guerrilla marketing, experiential events, or grassroots campaign management, preferably within the sports sector.
  • Exceptional organizational and logistical skills, with a track record of managing complex projects and delivering results under tight timelines.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, external agencies, and diverse stakeholders.
