Job Description

The Senior Director of Hotel Yield is responsible for optimizing the cash revenue and gaming revenue garnered from our 1,000+ hotel rooms across the portfolio of nine hotel/gaming properties. This position takes an analytical approach to optimizing occupancy, pricing and REVPAR. Reporting to the Vice President of Analytics the Senior Director of Hotel Yield will lead the application of Yielding principles to maximize profitability.

What You'll Do in This Role:

  • Develop strategies and tactics, providing both direct & indirect leadership to maximize REVPAR and profit for a growing portfolio of hotels
  • Manage internal and external relationships to drive demand to the hotels while creating frameworks and leveraging systems to optimize impact
  • Drive analysis to effectively manage room inventory, market mix, and pricing strategy in collaboration with casino hotel leadership goals
  • Focus on rolling out and leveraging a new Revenue Management system/process
  • Build and retain property level relations, providing superior service to both internal and external Revenue Management clients
  • Maximize overall casino and hotel revenue for all hotels in the CDI portfolio through the development and implementation of effective inventory controls and processing strategies based on future demand forecasts
  • Establish goals to consistently achieve or exceed forecasts from room revenue, occupancy, Average Daily Rate and Revenue per Available Room
  • Formulate, prepare and communicate yield management data for executive review, offering recommendations for revenue maximization when feasible
  • Prepare various managerial presentations and reports for executive review
  • Monitor functionality of systems and interfaces, maintaining communications with IT/BI staff for development and enhancement of systems
  • Work with Gaming Analytics team to define, plan, and manage specific analytics projects to enhance reporting
  • Perform exploratory data analysis on projects to help identify data issues and develop initial hypothesis for the project
  • Partner closely with all related departments such as Analytics, Database Marketing, Group Sales, and Casino Marketing to help guide overall strategies and tactics as appropriate
  • Develop and manage data quality and data governance standards and practices
  • Utilize a variety of historic reports, pacing, segmentation, and pricing reports to enhance the forecasting processes
  • Assist in development and modification of reporting strategies to maximize opportunities for consolidation and streamlining property operations
  • Determine work procedures and expedites workflow
  • Assist the Vice President of Analytics in all essential duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate

What You Need for this Role:

  • Advanced Excel and forecasting skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Admin, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • Minimum three years of experience with Duetto and Agilysys systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain gaming license in all applicable required states
