Position Summary

Lead the Finance and Accounting functions, including financial reporting, analysis and planning. Provide strategic direction and operational leadership to ensure financial performance aligns with long-term business objectives. Partner with the CEO to drive growth, improve efficiency, and achieve performance targets. The position is in Lindon, Utah and will require in-person work on a hybrid schedule.

Primary Duties

• Work closely with the CEO to improve performance and enhance company value.
• Develop and maintain departmental metrics, dashboards and KPIs to identify and assess business opportunities and risks.
• Proactively provide recommendations to optimize growth, efficiency and profitability.
• Develop the company’s strategic plan, set goals and execute growth initiatives.
• Coordinate effective cash flow management practices.
• Provide direction to the outsourced controller as well as fulfillment and production leads.
• Management of monthly reporting function:
• Review all monthly reconciliations, including all critical accounts.
• Maintain proper accruals to deliver accurate period results.
• Prepare MD&A and other financial analysis as needed.
• Prepare weekly cash flow reporting and bank compliance certificates.
• Develop and review critical assumptions in the budgeting process.
• Manage tax preparation, filing and supporting work papers.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting in QuickBooks online.
• Manage the annual financial audit process and insure timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee risk management, including insurance coverage and renewals.
• Perform other duties and specific projects as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 7-10 years progressive experience in financial management in a manufacturing or distribution environment. A CPA or Master’s in Accounting is preferred. 
• Experience in Quickbooks online
• Demonstrate interpersonal and team leadership capability along with strong analytical, communication and organizational skills required.
