Title: Ultrasound / Sono Tech - Echocardiogram

Location: Flushing, NY 11355

Contract: 2 Months (with possible extension)

Schedule: 9 AM - 5 PM (Including a 1-hour Break)

Job Summary:

The Echo Sonographer performs high-quality echocardiographic studies with a strong focus on pediatric patients. This role supports cardiology providers by producing accurate diagnostic images, identifying abnormalities, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized echocardiograms, including pediatric studies.
• Operate and maintain all echocardiography equipment; identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues or escalate when needed.
• Ensure proper use of supplies and adherence to imaging protocols.
• Recognize patient concerns or complications and promptly notify clinical staff (MD/RN).
• Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist with basic clerical tasks as needed.
• Follow all organizational, regulatory, and Joint Commission standards.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved Echocardiogram Training Program (Required).
• Pediatric echocardiography experience (Required).
• CCI or ARDMS (Echo) certification (Required).
• At least 2 years of experience as an Echo Tech I.
• Strong knowledge of echocardiography procedures, equipment, and safety practices.
• Ability to recognize abnormalities and escalate patient issues appropriately.
