Job Description

SUMMARY

The Financial Controller oversees all aspects of financial management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with business goals. This role leads the accounting team, manages financial reporting and audits, and partners with leadership to support operational and commercial decisions through sound financial insight. The position emphasizes proactive planning, fiscal integrity, and continuous improvement across finance functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct the daily operations of accounting and finance functions, ensuring timely reporting and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Lead preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage internal and external audits, maintaining strong communication with auditors, banks, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee treasury operations, including cash management, forecasting, and liquidity analysis.
  • Supervise tax compliance and filings while ensuring adherence to corporate governance and statutory requirements.
  • Support leadership in annual budget preparation, financial forecasting, and medium-term financial planning.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial to analyze costs, margins, and business performance.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive profitability and efficiency across departments.
  • Monitor capital expenditures, manage indirect spend, and ensure financial accountability on major projects.
  • Evaluate supplier and customer credit terms, optimize working capital, and improve cash flow management.
  • Administer insurance coverage and coordinate risk management activities.
  • Collaborate with management on business risk assessments and reporting for executive and board-level reviews.
  • Oversee legal and compliance-related financial matters when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, taxation, and corporate compliance.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) for performance analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-departmental collaboration and communicate financial information effectively.
  • Proven leadership in managing accounting staff and developing efficient financial processes.
