POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking to hire a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our technology team in New York or Miami. The successful candidate will be one of six members of our Infrastructure Team and will plan, execute, and maintain business critical workloads and seamlessly collaborate with our Development and Alt Data Teams on projects to support core cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and Microsoft 365 services.

Successful candidates will need to:

• Design, develop, test and document highly reliable solutions running fully in the Azure and AWS public clouds
• Manage and monitor Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security
• Manage and monitor full Microsoft 365 estate, including Entra, Intune, the full Defender Suite and Exchange Online
• Build up Infrastructure as Code capabilities across the public cloud footprint
• Become an integral part of our technology team, including being an escalation point for junior team members
• Establish strong understanding of business needs and priorities

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering (experience in the finance industry desirable)
• Extensive experience in the Azure and AWS public clouds with IaaS and PaaS workloads, including management of VNets/VPCs, private networking, storage accounts, Docker containers, Function Apps/AWS Lambda, and managed databases.
• Significant experience with cloud cybersecurity best practices
• Significant experience with Entra ID, Azure Policies, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup Center, and other Azure services.
• Significant experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365.
• Significant experience managing Microsoft Intune, including MDM/MAM policies and device configurations.
• Significant experience with general database administration of SQL Server
• Some experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Cloud Adoption Framework/Well Architected Framework best practices
• Some experience with modern data stack tools, such as Databricks, Airflow, and GitHub
• Some experience of SharePoint Online architecture, site collections, and document libraries.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preference for Computer Science/Computer Engineering majors
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and articulate ideas
• Team player with the highest standards of integrity, honesty and mutual consideration
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to think creatively
• Ability to focus, work effectively under pressure and follow instructions

Consistent with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the currently anticipated compensation for this role will include a base salary of $135,000 - $155,000, as well as bonus compensation and contributions to the firm's retirement program, with all such compensation components specific to New York City and New York State. When crafting an offer of employment and compensation package for candidates, JGC may incorporate a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an individual’s experience level, licensing and qualifications.
