W2 Contract

Onsite in Irvine, CA

Mechanical Engineer

45-55/HR Level II

60-65/HR Level III

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electromechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Solid foundation in mechanical and/or systems engineering, with strong analytical and detail-oriented problem-solving abilities
  • Skilled at synthesizing technical data from diverse sources to form sound conclusions and actionable recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with strong abilities in judgment, decision-making, collaboration, and analytical thinking
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and a proactive, action-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, or at least 2 years with a master’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IEC 14708 and 45502 standards for active implantable medical devices
  • Understanding of IEC 60601 standards for medical electrical equipment, including sections relevant to laser use
  • Hands-on experience with statistical tools such as Gauge R&R and Process Capability Studies; proficiency with Minitab
  • Background in testing and validation methods for single-use or active implantable medical devices
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with internal teams and external partners
