Job Description
The New Product, Program Manager is responsible for implementing the management of new products through the complete development lifecycle from concept to production. The New Product, Program Manager will communicate, coordinate, and facilitate activity designed to enable the company to support new products in on-going production.
The New Product, Program Manager will deliver hands-on expertise in full life cycle hardware & software development, test and certification, prototype and production releases and quality planning processes.
Essential Functions
● Manage Development and New Product Introduction (NPI) program efforts
● Schedule and hold regular core team meetings and reviews with program stakeholders
● Hold regular status meetings logging and resolving issues, escalating when necessary
● Collect and report on program metrics
● Enforce all processes including phase gates and continuous improvement
● Ensure program plan, budget, project tracker and dashboards are published and updated
● Overall responsibility for project tracker adherence, timely updates and completion
● Maintain and report on quotes, budget tracking, customer invoicing, and financial reports
● Facilitate communication among development, production, purchasing and management
● Ensure appropriate access to accurate real time information among the team
● Oversee all program deliverables including timely completion of management level activities
● Resolve issues due to lack of information or conflicts among team members
● Approve PCO's as necessary for individual programs
● Communication interface between Morey and its customers
Required Attributes
● 5+ years of relevant work history
● Experience managing product development lifecycle from conception to launch
● Thorough understanding of program management techniques, process, and tools
● High level of ownership, integrity, clear communication and teamwork
● Understanding of agile and waterfall design, development and production lifecycles
● Knowledge of the general production flow and requirements
● Ability to lead a group
● Knowledge of interpersonal, organizational, critical thinking, and basic customer relations skills
● Ability to create, conduct, and document team meetings which include internal and external participants
● High level proficiency with spreadsheets and project planning software
