Job Description

San Joaquin Country Club is a premier private club with a tradition of excellence that features full club amenities including a pool, practice area, and driving range. The clubhouse offers fine dining, Member’s Grill, and has banquet space capable of hosting banquets, weddings, and other events. We are looking to fill several Sever / Waiter positions to provide exceptional dining service to members and guests in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner. This role ensures a high standard of hospitality while maintaining the club’s service standards and member satisfaction.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Greet and seat members and guests promptly and courteously.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations when appropriate.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and order accuracy.
• Monitor tables and anticipate members’ needs throughout the dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned stations, side work areas, and service stations.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently.
• Handle member and guest concerns professionally, notifying a supervisor as needed.
• Follow all opening and closing side work duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and service standards.
• Assist with special events, private functions, and club activities as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Previous serving experience in a restaurant, club, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (serving alcohol).
• Must have or be able to obtain required food handler and alcohol service certifications.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.

Position offers a competitive salary between $17 - $20 per hour with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for club operations.
