Sterile Processing Technician

Location: Lemoore, CA

Job Type: Full Time

Hours: 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday no weekends or holidays

Responsibilities: Included but not limited to

• Operating and preparing surgical instruments and medical devices to clean, disinfect, and decontaminate.
• Inspecting instruments and equipment for signs of damage and wear and tear.
• Unpacking, checking and stocking new equipment, instruments and devices.
• Delivering equipment and supplies to all areas of the facility.
• Responding to emergency supply requests during surgical procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records of when items undergo sterilization.
• Monitoring temperature and humidity conditions within storage areas.
• Ensures proper disposal of hazardous waste and reports all malfunctioning equipment.
• Clean loading carts, delivery carts, work areas, using chemical solutions and detergents

Requirements & Experience:

• At least two (2) years of recent Sterile Processing technician experience.
• Possess a high school education or equivalency.
• Possess a valid IAHCSMM certification or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
• The ability to interpret written material, technical material, regulations, instructions, and reports.
