Purpose of the Job : Responsible for Logistics Coordination and Operations.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for coordinating and following through on ocean containers inbound to customers and updating our internal tracking system, vendors, and customer ETAs. Ensuring Customs clearance occurs seamlessly prior to ocean vessel or cross-border truck arrives.
  • Responsible for coordinating freight and documentation for outbound shipments from U.S. 3PLs/warehouses to North America customers and exports from North America.
  • Resolving delivery appointment issues.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting freight delivery issues, carrier failures/ vendor management, and keeping internal and external customers updated on delivery dates. Developing SOPs and installing preventive measures to minimize freight dwell time.
  • Responsible for minimizing freight expense, detention/ demurrage and carriage-related expenses through inbound container follow-up, expediting deliveries, assisting with RFQs and carrier rate comparisons.
  • Working with R&D and Marketing stakeholders to ensure expeditious delivery of test tires and marketing related logistics.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with US Customs, DOT, FDA import regulations. Auditing and Approving invoices from service vendors within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Responsible for reporting freight expenses & savings, and introducing initiatives to reduce costs

Skills :

Relevant Experience : 3+ years in logistics (ocean, over-the-road), import/export documentation and Customs regulations.

Education Qualification(s) : Bachelors degree in Business Administration, International Business,

  • Logistics or Supply Chain.
