Job Description

Location: Bedford, MA; Remote in AL, FL, GA, MI, MO, NC, NH, OH, OK, TN, TX, UT, WI, and WV

This Role:

Provide support to the Coding Resource Team in the delivery of an exceptional coding resource product that is accurate, complete and concise.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop/implement coding policies for new clients by pushing out coding policy questionnaire for a review and completion
  • Monitor and analyze internal and external communications to identify inquiries regarding coding policies or coding issues
  • Research/archive and analyze documented historical data to provide back answers to client in an accurate, timely, appropriate and professional manner
  • Modify and revise established client coding policy and all pertinent coding fields in Logix CRM (Customer Relationship Management), an electronic data depository tool that houses all client information
  • Log and update the CRT Task Library:
  • Ensure all CRT requests, updates, issues, and new clients are being logged in the CRT Task library
  • Supervise Annual Coding Policy Review project that it is done correctly and timely by direct reports and assist in providing proper responses as client inquiries arise
  • Update unable to code reasons (UACs) per coding policy update
  • Attend internal and external client conference calls and be able to take accurate and meaningful notes from the meetings and to convert these notes to coding templates
  • Develop a training plan and to provide training for Resource Assistants on tasks such as:
  • Track all coding issues or inquiries in Logix CRM
  • Ensure all coding fields on LogixGarden are QA to 100% accuracy
  • Ensure Master Client Grid and other tracking grids are up to date
  • Maintain Coding Resource library, binders and team manuals are up to date

Required:

  • 3+ years high-volume, multi-specialty, outpatient coding experience
  • Certification in Medical Coding
  • Prior experiences in medical/clinical setting required
  • Prior word processing, spreadsheet and internet software experience including proficiency with MS Excel and MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word required.
