Senior Solutions Architect – Retail Merchandising

Full-Time

remote, with quarterly onsite for a week, Bolingbrook, IL

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to drive enterprise-wide merchandising and supply chain technology initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in retail merchandising systems, with a focus on demand planning, allocation, replenishment, and financial planning . The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, guide development teams, and ensure robust system integration across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical strategy and architectural direction for merchandising and supply chain platforms.
• Provide hands-on guidance to development teams, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure enterprise-scale system stability.
• Design, integrate, and optimize demand forecasting, replenishment, assortment planning, pricing, space/floor planning, master data, and procurement processes.
• Oversee platform discovery, vendor selection, and implementation of solutions such as O9, Blue Yonder, Oracle Retail , or equivalent.
• Ensure seamless integration with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and other enterprise platforms.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to align technology solutions with business strategy and operational objectives.
• Participate in Agile product teams and guide technical delivery within a product-based operating model.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in retail merchandising technology , merchandising or supply chain operations.
• Hands-on experience with demand planning, forecasting, allocation, and replenishment .
• Experience with large-scale retail platforms such as O9, Blue Yonder, Oracle Retail , or equivalent.
• Proven ability to integrate merchandising platforms with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Strong technical background, including data pipelines, APIs, integrations, and system architecture .
• Experience working in Agile/Product environments .
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to AI in retail planning and merchandising processes.
• Experience with multi-channel retail, e-commerce integration, and global supply chain operations.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale technology transformations .
