Job Description

Based in San Francisco, we are a Series-A tech startup that is building a financial operating system designed to enable our clients to invoice, accept payments, manage expenses, and more—all in a fraction of the time required by traditional methods. Our team operates fully in person at a beautiful office in San Francisco’s Financial District. Team members have experience being early employees at top fintech and technology companies such as Robinhood, Parafin, Stripe, and more. We are looking to grow our engineering team and currently on the search for a talented Senior Software Engineer who is excited to make an impact in a growing startup backed by some of the top VC's in the industry.

What You’ll Do

As a member of our engineering team, your goal will be to maximize the team’s ability to deliver a high-quality product. You’ll work on building end-to-end features, improving development patterns, and enhancing team efficiency. We seek individuals who are passionate about solving customer problems and who focus on increasing team productivity rather than just scaling hiring. We are primarily using Python, React, and TypeScript but you don't need experience with those languages to be successful here. We are looking for bright people who are ambitious and able to pick up the right tool for the job.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build APIs and frontend components for new products and features
  • Improve development patterns and tooling to enhance team productivity
  • Engage directly with customers to understand and address their needs
  • Work closely with product and design teams to create outstanding user experiences
  • Contribute to refining engineering and product development processes
  • Ensure products meet high standards for security, reliability, and performance

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience building high-quality software in fast-paced environments
  • Strong ability to learn quickly and optimize systems for efficiency
  • A problem-solving mindset with a passion for delivering the best possible results
  • Interest in tackling complex, open-ended challenges
  • Enthusiasm for improving processes in the development industry
