Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: Dallas, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: USD $120,000 - $150,000 (Base Pay Range)

Role Summary

The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehousing and shipping/receiving activities, ensuring a safe, cost-effective, and efficient flow of materials. This role requires strong leadership in guiding warehouse teams, optimizing material handling and storage, coordinating inbound/outbound logistics with suppliers and customers, supporting production with timely material supply, and driving continuous improvement across facilities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel to maintain a safe, motivated, and high-performing team.
  • Manage warehouse budgets by monitoring expenses, negotiating with service providers, controlling quality and costs, and initiating savings initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including troubleshooting and process optimization.
  • Establish and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs), ensuring processes adapt to operational changes and efficiency goals.
  • Define and track KPIs, using them as tools for risk management, performance monitoring, and ongoing improvement.
  • Ensure ISO standards are met in all warehouse operations.
  • Direct a team of supervisors, material handlers, clerks, and shipping/receiving staff in handling raw materials, finished goods, and indirect materials throughout shipping, receiving, storage, and transfer processes.
  • Guarantee compliance with material storage, transportation regulations, and safety standards.
  • Safeguard inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts, reconciliations, audits, and root cause analysis; implement corrective and preventive measures as needed.
  • Collaborate with EHS and other departments to uphold strong workplace safety programs, cultivating a culture of health and safety awareness.
  • Ensure adherence to the Canadian Solar Code of Business Conduct and maintain ethical practices in all activities.
  • Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse management experience, ideally in a high-volume environment.
  • Solid background in logistics, including domestic and international shipping.
  • Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in a relevant discipline.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and prior exposure to SAP or comparable ERP systems.
  • Strong expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control.
  • Highly self-driven, proactive, and resilient under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact across organizational levels.
  • Organized, energetic, and collaborative team player.
  • Flexible work schedule is required.
  • Forklift certification considered an advantage.
